Despite having lesser known cast, ‘Azhagarsamiyin Kudhirai’ (ASK), which will see the light of the day this weekend, has managed to create enough expectations, thanks to various other factors.

Those in the industry who had watched the film were all praise for director Suseendran. “It is a brilliant comedy set in the rural backdrop. Besides, the movie is touching too,” they tell us.

Based on a short story penned by writer Bhaskar Sakthi, ‘Azhagarsamiyin Kudhirai’ has Appukutty of ‘Vennila Kabadi Kuzhu’ fame and Saranya Mohan in lead roles. “Two horses form crucial part of the story,” they say.

One is the wooden horse of Lord Azhagarsami, while the other is the real horse of a young man, who is set to enter the wedlock. Both go missing and the fate of a temple festival and the man’s marriage is at stake.
